Sony Xperia Z5 will be the next flagship of the Japanese maker
Sony Mobile’s social media channels inadvertently published a few press pictures of the upcoming Xperia Z5 flagship earlier today. The handset is due to be formally unveiled at IFA 2015 next Wednesday, but you can get a first glimpse of the handset below. The pictures match the leaks we have already seen to date and confirm that the latest Xperia flagship will have a 1/2.3-inch 23 MP Exmor RS camera with six-lens system.
Alleged press images of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z5 made the rounds online. One of the renders confirms that Sony’s next flagship smartphone will feature a new 23 MP main camera with 1/2.3” Exmor RS sensor.
A recent teaser by Sony suggests that the camera will also have advanced focusing capability. The latter will likely be possible thanks to a hybrid auto-focusing system.
The pictures show a slightly rounded frame with the ‘XPERIA’ logo engraved into the side. Colours on show include gold, white and what looks like a dark turquoise. What we cannot tell for sure is whether some of these pictures relate to the larger rumoured Xperia Z5+, but all will become clear next week.
